It is summer time and everyone is ready to hit the beach!! Are you making sure you are keeping yourself protected from the sun? It is so important to apply to appropriate amount of SPF so your skin isn’t effected by the UV rays produced from the sun. Often times my clients will mention the SPF 15 in their makeup and applying extra on sunny days. Is that really enough? It is commonly misunderstood about what that number on your SPF really means. Many people think it is the strength of the SPF. That isn’t entirely untrue but let me explain further. The number on the bottle times 10 will equal how long the SPF will last and when you need to reapply so SPF 15 (10×15=150) So you will need to reapply your SPF 2 1/2 hours after your first application.
